Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) is hosting a Direct Care Staff hiring event in Torrington and New Hartford, CT. We seek compassionate team members to support residents in group homes, with shifts across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods. A $20.00/hour pay rate accompanies a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Registered and insured vehicle available for work purposes.

• Experience with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Staff provide a supportive residential environment for individuals with mental health/substance use histories in a community-based group home.
• Assist with daily living activities and monitor self-administration of medications.
• Advocate for clients in various community settings and support independence, rehabilitation, and recovery.
• Develop professional relationships and offer person-centered counseling and guidance.
