Optimum Performance Institute Houston is seeking a Direct Care Shift Supervisor in Needville, TX, to lead our Direct Support Mentors within a Residential Treatment Program. This on-site role focuses on creating a structured, supportive environment for young adults 18–28 as they work through trauma and gain life skills.

You will supervise, mentor, and train staff, ensuring high standards of care and timely documentation while coordinating with leadership and the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training provided if needed.
• Background checks: pre-employment drug screening and federal/state checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support Direct Support Mentors during shifts.
• Train new staff and reinforce best practices.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for young adult clients.
• Respond to client needs, concerns, and crises while modeling professional boundaries.
• Oversee daily shift operations: staffing, scheduling, and program activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation: progress notes, incident reports, shift logs.
• Communicate updates to leadership and treatment team.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time | Wednesday-Saturday | 7:00am - 3:00pm

Location: Needville, TX (On-Site)

Are you a compassionate leader who is passionate about mental health and helping young adults build successful, independent lives? OPI Houston is seeking a Behavioral Health Residential Shift Supervisor to lead our Direct Support Mentor team within our Residential Treatment Program in Needville, TX.

In this role, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for young adults ages 18-28 who are working through trauma, developing life skills, and building a foundation for long-term success. You'll provide leadership and guidance to staff while playing an active role in supporting clients' daily growth and progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, direct care, or human services who enjoys mentoring others and wants to make a tangible difference every day.

Responsibilities

• Communicate significant client, staffing, and operational updates to leadership and the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
• Skills: Strong judgment, professionalism, quick decision-making skills, the ability to remain calm in challenging situations, and a growth mindset aligned with Embark's core values.
• Experience: Minimum one year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience required. Experience working with young adults or in behavioral health, residential treatment, direct care, human services, or similar settings preferred.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training provided if needed.
• Background Checks: Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and federal and state background checks in accordance with Texas law.
• Physical Readiness: Comfortable with hysically active work, including standing, walking, and supporting team-based safety interventions (including therapeutic holds when necessary) .
