Job summary

Arizona Comfort Care Social Services LLC is hiring a Direct Care Professional III to provide compassionate direct care to residents in Laurel, MS. You will document progress, support daily living activities, and assist with transportation and community outings under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as minimum education.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a caregiver/behavioral health role.
• Competency in Microsoft Word to complete incident reports and documents required.
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in direct care and administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Ability to assist clients with mobility, personal care, and hygiene needs.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card and Valid Driver's License.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Prevention and Support, Article 9, Direct Caregiver Worker (company assists to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Complete incident reports and daily progress notes on members.

• Guide residents to pursue ISP goals and document progress.
• Transport residents to appointments and community outings.

Description

Description of job duties:

• Ability to complete incident reports as needed and daily progress notes on the members
• Provide monitoring, assistance, and training to staff and residents
• Be attentive to the residents' issues. Also, alert the supervisor, house manager, and guardian as required.
• Work with residents to discover and pursue personal goals according to their ISP and document members' goal progress and daily activities.
• Guide and assist residents in learning daily living skills both in the home and the community
• Provide attendant care and independent functioning skills training and assistance for each resident in sensor motor areas, cognition, personal grooming, hygiene, dressing, eating, toileting, and self-medication as required in the Planning Meeting.
• Transport residents to appointments, DTA, and community outings in the company vehicle.

• Interact appropriately and professionally with residents concerning attitude, self-control, self-discipline, cooperation, tone of voice, language usage, and other areas as needed.
• Properly care for the house, furnishings, and residents' clothes and make house TV, radio, and movie choices according to resident interests.
• Assist residents with meal planning, shopping for groceries, food preparation, cleanup as needed, and preparing meals following the regulatory standards and menu and nutrition guidelines provided.

Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• An experienced caregiver/behavioral health is desired, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, to complete incident reports and other documents required.
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in the provision of direct care and administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Exceptional ability to assist clients with mobility, personal care, and hygiene needs.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including evening hours, weekends, holidays, and work as back.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card and Valid Driver's License (transporting members).
• Able to obtain CPR/First Aid, Prevention and Support, Article 9, and Direct Caregiver Worker certification (if hired, the company will assist with obtaining required certifications).
