Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is seeking a full-time caregiver in Ohio to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll work with a mission-driven team to help participants live well and participate in daily activities.

Shift requires Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 2p–9p with every other weekend 9a–9p. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record per Sevita policy are required. Pay is $17 hourly with full benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, proof of education is required.
• Age 18 or older.
• Six months of experience in intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred.
• Good communication, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Help participants participate in community activities and routines.
• Encourage budgeting, exercise, and nutrition goals.
• Build meaningful relationships and provide reliable support.

Hire wage is $17 hourly

This position requires someone who has had a Drivers License for at least 1 year (post permit) and a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.

Positions include weekend shifts as scheduled
