Since 1987, Laurel Ridge Treatment Center has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in San Antonio and South Texas. Our 330-bed facility is one of the largest freestanding psychiatric hospitals in the United States. Set on a therapeutic 29-acre campus in north central San Antonio, Laurel Ridge serves as the setting for the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, adults, veterans, and military personnel. Our comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, mental illnesses, and addictive diseases such as alcoholism, drug addiction, and substance abuse.

Benefits:
Responsible for the development and implementation of Specialized Therapeutic Services for the hospital. Provides supervision to Recreation Therapists, Music Therapists, Activity Specialists, Wellness Coordinator. Ensures recreational activities enhance patient care by improving the social, physical, and cognitive functional behavior of patients.
EDUCATION: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Music Therapist Board Certified (MTBC), and Current High and Low Elements Facilitator Certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.
