Responsibilities

The Brook Hospitals, (a UHS Company) located in Louisville, KY, offer comprehensive behavioral health services across two campuses: The Brook – KMI (98 beds) serves adolescents, adults, and seniors with inpatient, residential, and outpatient care, while The Brook – Dupont (88 beds) focuses on children and adults, providing inpatient, extended care, and partial hospitalization. Both facilities feature multidisciplinary teams and maintain high patient satisfaction through personalized treatment for mental health and addiction.

Position Summary: The Human Resources Director is responsible for executing Human Resource activities for all functional areas, (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, etc.) and serves as a professional resource for facility management on all HR–related activities. This position serves as a strategic partner and key member of hospital leadership and may serve as Administrator On-Call (AOC) as assigned, including completing rounding on patient units and throughout the facility.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment: research positions, full understanding of the Facility’s staffing needs, sourcing for candidates, leveraging the ATS, interviewing, selection, negotiating employment offers, assisting with new employee orientation, etc.). Implements and maintains proactive recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Maintains and collaborates with management on position control in accordance with Facility budget.
  • Knowledgeable of the HRIS systems and data input requirements and report writing.
  • Implements and directs engagement and retention programs including the onboarding program for the Behavioral Health facilities. Oversees employee engagement activities.
  • Ensure overall compliance of the Human Resources Department to include proper maintenance of HR files and records, proper hiring and employment practices, and regulatory requirements.
