Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an HR Supervisor in Minnesota to oversee staffing, training, and performance management for our foodservice operations. You will partner with managers to staff vacancies, coach colleagues, and resolve associate concerns while upholding company policies and safety standards.

This role emphasizes benefits administration, I-9 compliance, policy communication, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 4-6 years' experience in Human Resources with supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; SPHR certification advantageous.
  • 6-10 years' HR experience within foodservice industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise associates including staffing, coaching, and performance management.
  • Assist managers in staffing vacancies and completing administrative items.
  • Train management in policies and procedures; coordinate information delivery.
  • Advocate for associates and resolve issues with management support.
  • Develop and maintain company policies; ensure fair application.
  • Explain benefits to new associates and manage enrollment processes.
  • Oversee OSHA compliance with Safety Committee and maintenance teams.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for complying with Performance Food Group's policies, procedures, and standards governing the privacy, confidentiality, and security of all protected health information and electronic protected health information, as well as the Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic Protected Health Information and the Standards for the Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information issued under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, and as amended.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
  • Supervise associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
  • Assist managers in staffing all vacancies. Ensure all administrative items are completed according to established guidelines (i.e., I-9 forms, employment applications).
  • Assist in the training of management in application of policies and procedure. Assess training needs within the company and coordinate delivery of appropriate information (i.e., computer skills, management skills, etc.)
  • Function as an associate advocate by representing associates' issues to management as appropriate. Work with management team in resolving associate issues by investigating concerns and sharing resolution alternatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures to include effective communications to associates. Advise management of fair and consistent application of all approved policies and procedures.
  • Ensure benefits are explained to new associates and their enrollment is processed at appropriate time. Ensure all company benefits are communicated and administered in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Oversee procedures and processes to maintain our compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations. Work with Safety Committee and building maintenance team on compliance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

4-6 years' experience in Human Resources or related area with supervisory experience.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

6-10 years' experience in Human Resources and supervisory/management experience within foodservice industry.

Senior / Professional in Human Resources (S/PHR)
