Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare, a Brentwood Health Services facility, is seeking a Director of Health Information Management (HIM) Services in Flowood, Mississippi. The role leads the HIM department and ensures accuracy, privacy, and regulatory compliance for patient records across inpatient and outpatient services.

The ideal candidate will hold RHIA or RHIT credentials with an associates degree and 3+ years of supervisory experience in HIM.

Qualifications

• Requires RHIA or RHIT certification and an Associates degree with at least 3 years of supervisory health information management experience.
• Masters degree is preferred for advanced leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of the Health Information Management Services Department.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, licensing rules, and TJC standards.
• Oversee management and maintenance of all patient medical records information.

We provide psychiatric treatment for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, phobia and more. It is important these issues get treated so individuals are able to lead a healthy and happy life.

Position Summary: The Director of Health Information Management Services is responsible for directing the activities of the Health Information Management Services Department in the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information, ensuring compliance will all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within TJC standards for the quality of patient care.

Qualifications

Required: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). Associates degree in related field with a minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience in health information management is required.

Preferred: Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience with a Masters degree in related field. Direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred.
