Job summary

The Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City is seeking a Superintendent of Catholic schools to serve as the chief administrative officer for the Catholic School Office and its programs. The role reports to the bishop and focuses on strengthening Catholic education across the diocese.

Qualifications

• Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
• Masters in school administration or higher; doctorate preferred.
• Five to seven years of Catholic school leadership experience.
• Familiarity with multi-cultural settings; Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication between diocesan school office and local schools.
• Guides philosophy, goals, and objectives of Catholic school education.
• Oversees contracts for principals to ensure proper form and usage.
• Maintains regular reports to the Bishop and Diocese on schools.
• Coordinates leadership training and catechetical leadership programs.
• Provides support to principals on administrative concerns and governance.
• Engages pastors and school community on Catholic education issues.
