Job summary

Westminster Palms in St. Petersburg, FL, seeks a Dining Services Tech I to join the Dining Services Department. Responsibilities include minor food assembly, tray assembly, food delivery, dishwashing, and nourishment preparation while upholding resident dignity and federal/state compliance. Reports to the Director of Dining Services.

Schedule: Full-Time (60–75 hours); shifts vary and weekends required. This role emphasizes customer service, sanitation, and teamwork in a senior living community.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 6 months in a high-volume dining environment or residential clinical dining environment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English and follow directions.
• Basic math skills and basic knife handling skills.
• Customer service skill sets.
• Florida Safe Staff certification required or able to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform table service and maintain excellent customer service according to established standards.
• Serve residents’ meals in a friendly, caring, professional and timely manner.
• Serve meals according to meal tickets.
• Perform light cleaning and stocking duties as directed.
• Wash dishes, cut desserts and prepare items for the next meal period.
• Maintain temperature and sanitation logs as assigned.

We are currently searching for a DINING SERVICES TECH I to work in the Dining Services Department. In this role, the Dining Services Tech is responsible for minor food assembly, tray assembly, food delivery and service, dish washing and cleaning assigned by supervisors, assembly of trays and nourishment preparation and delivery, service of food to residents. Preserve residents’ dignity, honor resident rights, provide good customer service, communicate appropriately, and adhere to federal and state compliance regulations. This position reports to the Director of Dining Services.

Schedule:

• Full-Time (60 – 75 hours)
• Shifts vary / weekends required

This position is responsible for:

• Perform table service and excellent customer based on established serving standards and guidelines.
• Perform table service in a friendly, caring, professional and timely manner.
• Serve the resident’s meal according to meal ticket.
• Perform light cleaning and stocking duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Other functions include washing dishes, cutting desserts and preparing items for the next scheduled meal period or day.
• Maintain temperature and sanitation logs as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 to 6 Months experience in a high-volume dining environment or residential clinical dining environment.
• Requirements: Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions. Ability to perform basic math skills. Basic knife handling skills. Customer Service skill sets. Full understanding of food service methods in a high-volume full-service dining environment. Florida Safe Staff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
