Job summary

Suncoast Manor Retirement Community, Inc, located near downtown St. Petersburg, is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server to deliver high-quality dining service for independent living residents in a restaurant-style setting.

The role reports to the Director of Dining Services and offers a 3:30-7:00 PM schedule on weekdays with a split shift every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong English communication, and Florida

• Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

We are currently searching for a Dining Room Server deliver a high-quality dining experience for independent living residents by providing prompt, friendly, and professional service in a restaurant-style setting. This position reports to the Director of Dining Services.

Schedule: Part-time, 3:30- 7:00 PM on weekdays, 10:30-2:00 / 3:30-7:00 PM split shift every other weekend, 10:30-2:00 PM on holidays 16 hours per week on average

This position is responsible for:

• Perform table service and excellent customer relations based on established serving standards and guidelines.
• Perform table service in a friendly, caring, professional and timely manner.
• Serve the resident's meal according to meal ticket.
• Assist resident with all dining needs while performing table service.
• Perform light cleaning and stocking duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure that all residents being served have a pleasant and delightful dining experience.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Students working towards a High School Diploma are eligible for this position)
• Full understanding of food service methods in a high volume full service dining environment.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with older adults in a dining setting.
• Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
