Position Summary
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program spans approximately 20 weeks, combining hands-on and computer-based training. It covers areas such as:

  • Job responsibilities of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher, including operating industrial kitchen equipment.
  • Leadership skills, including supervising small teams and managing food preparation, service, and cleanup.
  • Adherence to policies, food safety standards, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Record-keeping, training, quality control, and staff development.
  • Managerial responsibilities like payroll, staffing, purchasing, inventory, budgeting, and communication.
  • Safety protocols, infection control, punctuality, and resident interaction.

Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, certification in food safety, experience in food production and supervision, basic computer skills, and compliance with COVID-19 policies. Ability to lift, carry, stand, sit, and work around food and cleaning products is required. Residency in the service area is necessary.
