Position Summary

The Manager-In-Training (MIT) program lasts approximately 20 weeks, providing hands-on and computer-based training in managing food services, leadership, policies, reporting, safety, and communication. The program prepares you to handle managerial responsibilities including staffing, budgeting, training, and quality control.

Qualifications
  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with a focus on safety and injury prevention.
  • Preferred associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
  • Completion of a Food Protection Manager course within 14 days of employment.
  • Certification as a Dietary Manager or similar, as required by law.
  • Achievement of Food Service Manager certifications within 60 days.
  • Experience in food production/service, nutrition, or supervision preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ability to lift/carry and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Reside within the service area.
