Job summary

FairAcres Manor is seeking a Dining Services Director in Colorado to oversee daily food preparation and meal service, manage a team of dietary staff, and ensure nutrition standards and safety compliance across skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living settings.

You will lead menu planning, monitor resident dietary needs, and collaborate with care teams to deliver high-quality dining experiences while managing costs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification or willingness to obtain.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food service management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food preparation and meal service according to planned menus.
• Supervise, train, and manage Dietary Aides and Cooks.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain dining staff to minimize turnover.
• Monitor and respond to residents’ nutritional needs and physician-ordered diets.
• Order food, supplies, and equipment; inspect deliveries for quality, accuracy, and pricing.
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate in patient care meetings, contributing nutritional insights.
• Maintain accurate and timely nutrition documentation.
• Adapt menus to meet diverse dietary needs of residents across facilities.
• Implement systems to support regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with residents.

About the Role:

As the Dining Services Director, you’ll oversee all aspects of food service operations within our facility. From menu planning to quality control, you’ll ensure residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a safe, efficient, and budget-conscious environment. You’ll also lead and support a dedicated Dining Services team, fostering a positive dining experience for all.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification or willingness to obtain
