Position Highlights Join the heart of campus life at the University of Arizona Student Unions, where culinary creativity meets community. The Arizona Student Unions is looking for a Dining Services Attendant, Sr. to join our team. In this position you are responsible for various duties in the preparation and service of food, providing quality customer service to students, faculty, staff and guests for the Global Food Court.

This is an Academic position working 9 months from August to May and summers off, requiring availability to work nights, holidays, weekends and days.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greets and serves guests in a friendly and courteous manner, prepares guest orders efficiently and accurately maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Openly communicates with staff and supervisor, maintaining strong teamwork and working seamlessly with team members.
  • Ensures all areas are staffed, delegating job assignments., assessing staffing shortages and overages making adjustments as necessary, filling in as needed during breaks and lunches.
  • Prepares guest orders in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Actively supports labor and food cost goals, completing orders by deadlines as required from internal and external vendors and assisting with weekly inventory.
  • Follows proper food safety guidelines, allergen awareness, franchise standards and procedures, ensuring unit is stocked, cleaned and equipped daily.
  • Provides suggestions and input to supervisor regarding sales trends and may perform forecasting and location costs summary using online ordering application FoodPro.
  • Participates in student hiring, mentoring and team building.
  • Completes daily shift report, waste logs and temperature logs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must be available to work nights, holidays, weekends and days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in franchise front of house and back of house operations.
