Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Dining Services Assistant Manager to support daily dining operations at a long-term care facility. You will supervise staff, train team members, and ensure compliance with dietary guidelines and food safety standards.

You will also help maintain inventories, control costs, schedule staff, and interact with residents and their families to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service management or similar role preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
• Must comply with vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Dining Services Manager in managing daily dining operations, including staff supervision and training.
• Ensure compliance with dietary guidelines, food safety standards, and HCSG policies.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of food inventory, costs, and employee schedules.
• Lead staff training sessions on food preparation, service techniques, and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to enhance the dining experience.
• Conduct regular inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with team members, residents, and guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
