Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Dining Service Associate to perform a range of dining service tasks, maintain sanitary dining areas, and assist with some food preparation. The role supports meal service, setup for dining rooms and events, and ensures proper temperature and timely serving of foods.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety, HACCP documentation, and infection control protocols, with duties extending to cleanup, inventory handling, and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• Previous dining service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County.

Responsibilities

• Performs defined work routines using various dining service utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned.
• Assists with all aspects of dining service set-up in dining rooms and at catered events, including preparing beverages, salads, desserts, and other food items as instructed and in accordance with recipes; Ensures all foods are served at proper temperatures and on time.
• Assists with dining room set up including setting tables, stocking buffets, and serving residents.
• Assists with all aspects of clean-up to ensure all dining service areas are maintained in accordance with policies and standards by completing daily cleaning duties, bussing tables, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, washing dishes, removing trash, stocking and storing items correctly, and keeping all dining service work areas clean.
• Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Follows all safety procedures and protocols as mandated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations, and standard food handling practices and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintains all necessary documentation including checking and recording food temperatures in HACCP logs, recording product usage and waste amounts, and recording any other information needed.
• Follows infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, food storage, food disposal, and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and cleaning agents.

Summary

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

3. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
4. Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members 5. 5. Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations)

The Dining Service Associate stands and walks intermittently throughout the working day, as well as reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, carries, and manipulates various food products, dietary supplies, and equipment. The Dining Service Associate must have an ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents and to withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes, such as entering refrigerated storage areas and working at ovens, ranges, dish-washing machines, and steam tables. This employee must be free from infections or diseases.
