Job summary

EverTrue in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Dining Service Associate to perform a variety of dining service functions, keep dining areas clean and sanitary, and assist with food preparation as needed. You will follow recipes, ensure foods are served at proper temperatures, and support meal service for residents and guests.

The role requires the ability to read recipes and diet orders, handle routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions, and maintain HACCP records for food temperatures and usage.

• Previous dining service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined dining service duties using utensils, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist with dining room setup and serving residents; prepare beverages, salads, desserts, and other items per recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, assist with cleaning duties, bussing, stocking, and proper storage.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies and record temperatures and usage for HACCP logs.

Performs defined work routines using various dining service utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned2. Assists with all aspects of dining service set-up in dining rooms and at catered events, including preparing beverages, salads, desserts, and other food items as instructed and in accordance with recipes; Ensures all foods are served at proper temperatures and on time3. Assists with dining room set up including setting tables, stocking buffets, and serving residents4. Assists with all aspects of clean-up to ensure all dining service areas are maintained in accordance with policies and standards by completing daily cleaning duties, bussing tables, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, washing dishes, removing trash, stocking and storing items correctly, and keeping all dining service work areas clean5. Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies6. Follows all safety procedures and protocols as mandated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations, and standard food handling practices and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately7. Maintains all necessary documentation including checking and recording food temperatures in HACCP logs, recording product usage and waste amounts, and recording any other information needed8. Follows infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, food storage, food disposal, and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and cleaning agentsQualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily1. Previous dining service experience is preferred2. Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments3. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions4. Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members 5. 5.
