Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support dining services in its skilled nursing and memory care settings. You will help residents select meals that meet dietary restrictions, assist with meal preparation, and ensure foods are served hot and on time.

The role requires basic cooking skills, knowledge of sanitation, and the ability to follow recipes and diet orders. May participate in cleaning duties and infection control practices while supporting a positive dining environment.

Qualifications

• One year of dietary aide experience preferred.
• Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must have or be willing to receive a recognized food safety handling certification in accordance with local or county regulations.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations).

Responsibilities

• Helps residents choose foods and beverages meeting dietary restrictions.
• Performs dining service setup and serves foods at proper temperatures.
• Prepares dining rooms for meals and sets tables.
• Cleans dining areas, buses tables, and restocks supplies.
• Keeps HACCP logs and records food temperatures and usage.
• Follows safety and infection control procedures.
• Reports hazards or equipment issues to supervisor promptly.
