Dining Service Aide

Pay Range
- Base pay: $12.75/hr – $17.75/hr
- Actual pay based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter.
Schedule
Openings: 19 biweekly. Must be 16 or older. Weekdays 1–2 nights a week after school (3:45–7:00 pm) and every other weekend 6:30 am–11:30 am. Requires every other holiday and weekend, with options to pick up additional hours and cross‑train in multiple kitchens.
Responsibilities
- Understands basic diets and coordinates with menu and diet limitations.
- Addresses residents/tenants/patients by name, assists them in the dining area, and encourages socialization.
- Prepares and/or plates food for regular and modified diets.
- Sets up tables and carts for scheduled meals and special functions.
- Delivers trays to serving areas or directly to nursing neighborhoods.
- Performs routine cleaning tasks, disposes of trash and garbage.
- Operates dishwasher following proper procedures and guidelines, maintaining sanitary procedures in warewashing.
- Participates in audits, adheres to dress code and personal hygiene practices.
- Completes all required documentation accurately and timely.
- Follows fire/disaster safety policies, participates in drills and evacuation plans.
- Participates in meetings/training as requested by Director of Nutrition Services.
- Follows chain of command, does not contribute to unproductive actions, complies with departmental and corporate policies.
- Notifies personnel of defective equipment and needed repairs or supplies.
- Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
- Identifies with, shares in, and is committed to the mission, core values, and objectives of St. Paul Elder Services and its Sponsor.
- Adheres to infection control procedures, including hand washing and standard precautions.
- Completes miscellaneous duties as assigned.
