Job summary

Cogir USA in Scottsdale is seeking a friendly Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our senior residents. You will greet guests, take orders, accommodate dietary needs, and ensure meals are served with care.

You will work in our community restaurant, maintain sanitation, assist with setting up the dining room, and collaborate with the Culinary Director to provide outstanding service. Flexible shifts, training, and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus.
• Arizona Dementia Training Certificate provided within first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure meals meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
• Serve meals and beverages with a smile.
• Prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens, utensils and glassware.
• Clear tables and reset for the next service.
• Communicate resident feedback to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines and health department regulations.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role ensures residents' dietary needs and preferences are met while fostering a welcoming and inclusive dining environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure meals are served according to residents' dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
• Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile.
• Prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens, utensils, and glassware.
• Clear tables promptly after meals, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages.
• Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards.

Requirements

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and certificates:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• A Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus.
• Arizona Dementia Training Certificate - If you do not have this certificate, we will schedule you for a training class within the first thirty (30) days of employment with us.

Experience, Competencies, and Skills:

• At least 6-12 months of experience in a serving, hospitality, or customer service role is a plus.
• Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
