Job summary

McCall’s Catering and Events in San Francisco is seeking a Dining Server for part-time events. You will welcome guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and help keep service smooth during busy events.

We value calm, friendly, and organized team players with at least 2 years of dinner serving experience, a California Food Handler Card, and an ABC Responsible Beverage Service certificate. Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of previous dinner serving experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California Food Handler Card.
• Valid ABC Responsible Beverage Service certificate.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for 8 hours or more.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and help them find their seats.
• Take orders and pass dietary needs or special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages in a friendly and efficient way.
• Set up tables with linens, plates, utensils, decorations, and condiments.
• Clear tables, refill water, and keep dining areas tidy.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service requirements.
• Help with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
• Support teammates wherever needed during busy events.

Part-Time | $24–$26 per hour

The role

As a Dining Server, you will be right at the heart of each event.

From welcoming guests and setting tables to serving food and drinks, you will help make sure everything runs smoothly. You will also be on hand to answer questions, handle special requests, and make sure guests feel looked after throughout the event.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, approachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

You will need:

• At least 2 years of previous server experience

• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours or more
• Ability to meet California age requirements for alcohol service
