Provide high-quality meal service and create a gracious environment. Responsibilities include accurate communication and order taking, relaying meal orders to kitchen staff, and offering exceptional customer service to our residents.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Be present in the dining room for full meal service
  • Assist with special functions as scheduled
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control standards
  • Oversee bistro areas: food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, popcorn making
  • Know daily specials and their preparation
  • Learn residents' names, dietary needs, preferences, and dislikes
  • Serve hot food hot, cold food cold
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance Committee as directed
  • Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, vacuum after meals
  • Attend all trainings, orientations, and meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate core values: love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, respect
  • Experience in healthcare dietary services or restaurants preferred but not required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of regulations: ADA, state, infection control, health department, OSHA
