Job summary

Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy seeks a friendly Dining Aide to serve meals according to the menu, maintain sanitation, and support residents with dignity and respect. You’ll set up and clear dining areas, follow safety procedures, and help keep kitchens clean while reporting concerns to staff.

Responsibilities

• Serves all food according to the menu in a sanitary manner under supervision.
• Maintains kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Assists in serving meals to residents and keeps dining areas clean.
• Sets up and takes down dining areas.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Reports health concerns to Resident Care Coordinator or Nurse.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintains appearance and complies with hygiene and health standards.
• Serves meals with dignity and nutritional care.
• Assists with putting away and organizing weekly orders.
• Keeps kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.
• Ensures cleanliness meets dietary manager specifications and state regs.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serves all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the Dietary Services Director


• Maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards under the direction of the Dietary Services Director


• Assists in serving meals to residents within an assisted living community as well as maintaining standards of kitchen cleanliness


• Setting up and taking down the dining areas


• Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules


• Reports any concerns with the health and well-being of residents to the Resident Care Coordinator or Nurse


• Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times


• Meets or exceeds, the standards of appearance; complies with the sanitation rules, hygiene and health standards of community personnel


• Serves meals in a fine and gracious manner, ensuring the dignity and nutritional needs of the residents


• Assists with putting away and organizing the weekly orders


• Helps keep the kitchen and dining room clean and organized


• Ensures that the cleanliness of kitchen and dining area meets or exceeds the dietary manager's specifications and is in compliance with state regulations


• Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor


• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications:

• Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit


• Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates


• Must provide written proof of recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of date of hire


• Must be positive and deliver a WOW experience through service


• Performs unpleasant tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and displays willingness to assist co-workers


• Willingness to work with the elderly


• Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely


• Has ability to do occasional heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.)
