Job description

Part Time Evening Dining Room Server

Schedule: 4pm - 8pm; rotating weekends and holidays

The Dining Room Server is responsible for preparing dining areas for meals, serving food in a timely manner, and assisting with cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen and dining areas, including kitchenware and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
Expectations and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dining areas for meals, including setting tables with dinnerware and decorations
  • Serve accurate and attractive meals promptly
  • Ensure proper food temperature when serving
  • Communicate with and respond to customer meal requests
  • Obtain meal orders
  • Monitor and maintain proper levels of supplies and food items in work areas and dining rooms
  • Observe and report changes in residents' dining habits to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining service equipment and work area
  • Ensure proper storage of food items according to policy
  • Operate dishwasher when appropriate
