Dial Senior Living in Omaha is seeking a part-time dining assistant for evenings and weekends. The role involves serving meals, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining area while ensuring residents receive friendly, attentive service.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient interaction with seniors, and willingness to learn basic kitchen and dining tasks. Training is provided, and the environment centers on compassionate care and resident well-being.

Responsabilidades

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the designated point of sale system.
• Provide customer service to residents to maintain high satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu.
• Address residents by name and note food/beverage preferences.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverages of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups filled; refill as needed.
• Clear tables and bus tables after meals; vacuum dining room as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and operations information.
• Report on-the-job injuries to supervisor before end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The position will assist with serving meals and beverages, bussing tables and cleaning the dining area.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu.
• Address residents by name and their food beverage likes and dislikes.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled.
• Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished.
• Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience And Other Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down

• Some experience in food service is preferred
