Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to oversee daily dining room operations and serve as the liaison between dining room and kitchen. You will lead and train associates, schedule staff, and ensure a high-quality dining experience for residents, maintaining professionalism and hospitality at all times.

You will supervise service staff, handle scheduling, resolve resident concerns, and collaborate with leadership to ensure smooth service and adherence to dining restrictions.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory and food service experience in hospitality.
• Working knowledge of dining etiquettes and high level customer service.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Schedule dining room associates and plan dining room setup based on anticipated census and needs.
• Cover shifts as a Server or Host as needed.
• Assist supervising dining room team to ensure proper service delivery.
• Assist in hiring, training, supervision, scheduling and evaluating of the service team.
• Resolve concerns regarding residents' dining experience.
• Review and respect residents' dining restrictions; ensure staff awareness.
• Serve as liaison between dining room and kitchen with leadership in the department.
• Direct pre-meal meetings and brief staff on events coordinated by Culinary Service Director.
• Ensure appearance, cleanliness, safety of dining areas and equipment; report deficiencies.
• Maintain inventory of dining room supplies and storage.
• Assist oversight of community café service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Service Director.
