Job summary

Chick-fil-A in Poway is seeking a part-time Team Member to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will welcome guests, take orders, process payments, and help keep the dining area clean while upholding Chick-fil-A's service standards.

You'll work in a friendly, fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth, learning from experienced Operators and Restaurant Leaders, and access to scholarships and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet dine-in guests and assist as they enter the restaurant.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked dining area and assist guests with questions.
• Take guest orders, process payments, and manage a cash drawer.
• Deliver orders to guests and ensure accuracy of orders.
• Keep work areas clean and equipment stored properly.
• Follow Food Safety procedures and operational standards.
• Support a collaborative team environment with a sense of urgency.

Dining Room Host or Hostess PositionResponsibilities:

• Welcomes and assists our dine‑in guests as they enter the restaurant
• Keeps the dining area clean and well‑stocked
• Answers guest's questions, offers recommendations, and provides general assistance to guests
• Takes guest's orders, processes payments accurately, and maintains an accurate cash drawer
• Ensures orders are complete and delivers food to guests
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Cleans various areas of the restaurant, including tables, counters, floors, trash bins and restrooms
• Maintain strict adherence to Food Safety procedures
• Follow procedures to ensure Operational Excellence

Desired Skills:

• Customer-friendly demeanor and willingness to serve
• Able to stand for prolonged periods (entire shift), walk, bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects, as needed
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written (English fluency preferred)
• Able to maintain positive energy throughout shift with an outgoing, friendly, and patient attitude
• Able to excel in a fast‑paced, team environment with a sense of urgency in getting things done
