Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Coordinator to oversee our on-site dining operation, including supervision, training, and event support. You will lead servers, collaborate with the Chef Manager, and ensure top-notch hospitality for residents and guests.

In this hands-on role, you’ll schedule front-of-house staff, manage dining spaces, and help cultivate a culture of care, safety, and teamwork within a vibrant senior living community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Dining supervisor experience in senior living, restaurant, hotel, or service industry.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and hospitality standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards in a commercial food operation.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as dining needs demand.
• Proficient with MS Office and POS systems.
• Reliable attendance essential for community operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support dining room servers, ensuring exceptional food service and hospitality.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of dining spaces including Bistro and Dining Room.
• Coordinate guest seating and readiness for every meal service.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing, Activities, and residents for special events.
• Address resident and guest feedback professionally and compassionately.
• Assist Chef Manager in training front-of-house staff on safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with leadership and regional teams to align with goals.
• Assist Chef Manager with front-of-house staff scheduling, interviewing and delegation.

As the Dining Room Coordinator, you will manage the total dining room operation in our on-site restaurant including hiring, supervising and training of our restaurant servers. This position is a hands-on supervisory position assisting with the restaurant meal service, special events and room service delivery as needed. You will develop lasting relationships with residents and guests in our restaurant style dining room. Supported by our experienced Chef Manager, you’ll help cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence in dining and hospitality. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership and actively support dining room servers, ensuring exceptional food service and hospitality
• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of our dining spaces, including the Bistro and Dining Room
• Coordinate guest seating and maintain dining room readiness for every meal service
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Activities, and residents to plan and execute special events
• Address resident and guest feedback with professionalism and care
• Assist the Chef Manager in building a positive workplace culture by training front of house employees in safety protocols, food handling, and dining area cleanliness
• Collaborate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to align with organizational goals
• Assist the Chef Manager with front of house staff schedules, interviewing, training, and task delegation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous dining supervisor experience in senior living, restaurant, hotel, or comparable service industry
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and hospitality standards with the ability to train others
• Knowledge of cleaning standards in a commercial food operation
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Ability to work flexible schedule as the needs of the dining program require
• Demonstrated successful use of technology in the workplace including MS Office and POS
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
