Job summary

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is seeking a friendly and motivated Food Runner to ensure efficient and courteous service in the breakfast and dining areas. You will be responsible for accurate delivery of food items, maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of service stations, and supporting the dining team throughout shifts at this premier Orlando resort.

The role requires knowledge of menu items, sanitation standards, and a minimum of one year in a related position.

Qualifications

• Good eye/hand coordination to use kitchen equipment.
• Working knowledge of sanitation standards.
• 1-year minimum work-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Deliver food to tables accurately and timely.
• Complete breakfast setup and buffet maintenance as directed.
• Assist with procurement and stock replenishment.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Overview

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Food Runner services.

Responsibilities

• Must have complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and seat numbers.
• Must have complete knowledge of service times and menu.
• Responsible for verifying complete order on ticket to food on cold line and hot line.
• Deliver food to correct tables according to ticket, floor plan, and seat numbers.
• Always inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform server or manager.
• Responsible for set-up of expo line with items specified inside work.
• Must consult with supervisor on any food delivery difficulty.
• Complete all side duties as assigned.
• Must minimize breakage.
• Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
• Set up and breakdown of breakfast buffet according to time allotted.
• Maintenance and replenishment of breakfast buffet items. Ensure items are always full, clean, and presentable.
• Securing all breakfast vehicles such as platters, butter dishes, bread knives as directed by manager or posted inside work.
• Placing and receiving warehouse order daily and ensuring proper par levels of product
• Ensuring all products is within date and using the FIFO method of storage

Qualifications

• Good eye/hand coordination needed to use all kitchen equipment.
• Requires a working knowledge of sanitation standards.
• Prepares daily requisition for supplies and food items for production
• Work cohesively with entire hotel staff as part of a team.
• Support procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.
• Maintain all coolers and freezers, prep area and equipment up to State of Florida Health Department codes at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• 1-year minimum work-related experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift to 70 pounds
• Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours

Working Environment

• Interior of hotel, exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions, in the restaurant and kitchen. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.

• Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, hotbox, queen-Mary cart, utility cart, flatbed cart, chafers, heating unit, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine
