Job summary

Ventana Canyon is seeking an enthusiastic server to join our dining team in delivering exceptional guest service. You will take food and beverage orders, describe daily specials, and ensure timely delivery after preparation while handling checks and cash accurately.

SUMMARYThe server will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to members and guests. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips and ensuring that tables are served properly.Duties/ Responsibilities:Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.Describes and specials of the day to the guest. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offer suggestions of menu items when appropriate.Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guest promptly after preparation.Follows-up with guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenish items as needed.Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.Maintain organized workstations and side work duties.Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sale System.Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, and food delivery and general service techniques.Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the department manager.Attend staff meetings.Follows-up with guests to ensure satisfaction.
