Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for full‑time Dining On‑Call Supervisor positions at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, 18200 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77030. The position is full‑time with a schedule that may vary by day and hour—morning, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour. Prior supervisory experience is required. Applications accepted online only.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient meal service, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and pick‑up.
• Ensure employees are adequately trained and units are properly staffed.
• Oversee Nutrition Operators, Workstation and Wait Staff Associates.
• Assist in the selection, orientation, and training of Dining on Call staff.
• Collaborate with Nutrition Operators to provide menu alternatives for prescribed diets and address dietary restrictions, allergies, and cultural preferences.
• Evaluate meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes daily.
• Respond to patient needs and resolve complaints promptly, reporting to supervisor as necessary.
• Develop and implement action plans within the Dining on Call service.
• Coordinate and supervise daily and weekly staff activities.
• Develop and post staff schedules per department policy.
• Communicate job‑flow changes to Dining on Call positions.
• Collaborate with nursing to verify accurate diet prescriptions and meet patient food needs.
• Maintain required documentation, reports, and logs professionally.
• Visit patients on assigned units to ensure at least one visit per stay.
• Comply with regulatory, federal, state, and JCAHO standards; follow HACCP guidelines and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
