Role Description

The Maitre'd at the Villa Marie Claire Hospice creates a compassionate and serene dining experience for patients, families, and visitors. This role requires hospitality skills, empathy, and sensitivity to hospice needs. Responsibilities include managing the dining room, overseeing reservations, and ensuring professional service with a focus on comfort and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests warmly.
  • Escort guests, considering their needs.
  • Manage reservations and seating, respecting patient schedules.
  • Maintain waitlists and communicate wait times.
  • Supervise dining room staff and ensure high service standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and ambiance of the dining environment.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service and dietary needs.
  • Assist with menu planning, purchasing, and inventory.
  • Gather and relay feedback for service improvement.
  • Plan and execute special events and private functions.
  • Work with the hospice care team to ensure seamless service.
