Job summary

New Horizon Foods/Consolidated Management is seeking a Dining Aide to deliver meaningful mealtime experiences for residents in a fast-paced setting. You will help plate, serve, and present meals while maintaining a welcoming dining space and supporting team members.

The role requires reading and following written instructions in English, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to safe food handling and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming dining space — Set tables and dining areas so they are clean, organized, and inviting.
• Serve with care — Plate and serve meals while following dietary restrictions and residents’ preferences.
• Be a friendly resource — Stay informed on daily activities so you can answer questions and assist residents and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness & safety — Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and help keep the kitchen and dining areas safe and sanitary.
• Support teamwork — Assist colleagues in the kitchen and notify nursing staff of any resident needs or concerns.
• Ensure readiness — Stock and prepare your station so the next meal service runs smoothly.

From plating and serving meals with care, to keeping the dining room warm and welcoming, you’ll help ensure residents feel valued, respected, and well cared for.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming dining space — Set tables and dining areas so they are clean, organized, and inviting.

Important Details

• Uniform must always be clean and presentable.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Remain on your feet for most of the shift
• Perform repetitive tasks (chopping, scooping, bending, etc.)
• Ability to read and write in English and follow verbal/written instructions

• You may be exposed to sharp kitchen tools, cleaning chemicals, and bodily fluids (PPE and safety training provided).
• You’ll be expected to follow our company policies, dress code, and hygiene standards at all times.
