Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years CMM programming and dimensional inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within Quality, Metrology, or Manufacturing.
  • Advanced experience with PC-DMIS programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Faro Romer Arm portable measurement systems.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment and dimensional inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the daily activities of CMM Operators and Quality Inspectors.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS.
  • Oversee portable metrology inspections utilizing Faro Romer Arms and related software.
  • Establish inspection priorities to support production schedules, customer requirements, and quality objectives.
  • Review engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and GD&T requirements to determine appropriate inspection methods.
  • Analyze dimensional data and inspection results to ensure compliance with customer and engineering requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions for nonconforming products.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve dimensional and process-related issues.
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and performance of CMM equipment, probes, fixtures, and inspection tools.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members while promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor departmental performance and implement process improvements that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

CMM Supervisor Location: Park City, UT Lead a High-Performing Metrology Team We are seeking an experienced CMM Supervisor to lead our client's metrology and dimensional inspection operations in Park City, Utah. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality professional with expertise in PC-DMIS programming, Faro Romer Arm inspection, and team leadership. In this role, you will oversee daily CMM operations, support quality and production objectives, and lead a team responsible for dimensional inspection, metrology, and quality verification. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with a proven ability to develop people, improve processes, and drive operational excellence.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of CMM programming and dimensional inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within Quality, Metrology, or Manufacturing.
  • Advanced experience with PC-DMIS programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Faro Romer Arm portable measurement systems.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, Metrology, or a related field.
  • Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.
  • Previous experience leading a CMM lab, metrology department, or inspection team.
