Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites applicants for a Graduate Summer Intern role in Digital Systems Engineering. You will work on MBSE methods to develop, simulate, and analyze digital system models for space, ground, and launch architectures.

You will gain hands-on experience with digital thread concepts, digital twins, and integration with toolchains while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The internship is on-site with competitive hourly pay and strong professional development

Qualifications

Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing an MS or PhD in a related field
BS degree completed by internship start date and enrolled in a graduate STEM program starting Fall 2027
Availability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks outside of university term
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Foundational knowledge with simulation and analysis tools like Cameo, MATLAB, Simulink, SimEvents, ModelCenter
Familiarity with UML/SysML modeling languages and tools
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

Build, validate, and simulate digital system models representing complex space and defense architectures
Develop queries and AI applications to interrogate digital models
Assist with federating digital models with other engineering models for end-to-end digital threads
Develop virtual twin models that interact with physical twins via live telemetry
