Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a Technical Specialist to join our electric vehicle design team. You will create high-quality 3D digital surface models using Autodesk Alias or ICEM Surf and advance concepts to production-ready tooling. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of surfacing in a top-tier or production setting, with Class A or production experience, plus knowledge of Catia or Grasshopper. You will collaborate with Design and Engineering to maintain design intent and feasibility.

Qualifications

8+ years of surfacing experience with Alias or ICEM Surf in a top tier, preferably production environment.
Class A or production experience.
An understanding of visualization software, Catia or Grasshopper is also beneficial.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related field

Responsibilities

Create high-quality, accurate 3D digital surface models that communicate conceptual design intent using Autodesk Alias or ICEM Surf
Develop digital surfaces from the concept stage through production-ready quality for tooling release
Advise on and recommend solutions to overcome design and engineering challenges
Contribute to a variety of projects, including advanced design, show cars, and production vehicles
Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering teams to maintain design intent and production feasibility
Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
