Job Overview: A digital strategist leads the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns across Google Ads. You'll be responsible for developing high-performing strategies, analyzing data to improve performance, and working closely with our creative and client teams to hit KPIs. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and knows Google Ads inside out. The ideal candidate combines creativity, analytical skills, and technical know-how to deliver impactful digital campaigns. By focusing on metrics and customer experience, a digital strategist ensures all initiatives drive measurable success while aligning with the brand's messaging and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategy Development: Conduct in-depth market research, identify target audiences, and analyze competitors to craft comprehensive advertising strategies.
- Set targets for all accounts with a minimum of 25% month-over-month scaling.
- Creative testing and development: Utilize resources of the creative team to innovate with videos, images, advertorials, VSLs, copywriting, etc.
- Foster innovation in ad strategies and account management, exploring AI-powered solutions, new ad formats, and testing advertorials and VSLs.
- Create playbooks for specific niche strategies (e.g., health and wellness, fashion, SaaS).
- Implement and monitor new processes, ensuring team adherence.
- Participate in client calls, discussing innovation, scaling plans, and overall business development.
- Support the team with account-related questions, troubleshooting, and maximizing gains.
- Train and develop team members' technical and interpersonal skills.
- Set and monitor monthly goals with clients, ensuring targets are met.
- Promote a culture of innovation and optimization, encouraging proactive account management and learning from mistakes.
- Achieve yearly goals through innovative, collaborative, and non-traditional approaches.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
- Advocate for broader client business improvements, suggesting cross-platform strategies and training the team to make independent recommendations.
Requirements:
- Preferred degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
- Advanced certifications in Google Ads, SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, attribution tools (Triple Whale, Northbeam) are highly valued. Additional CRO or UX certifications are advantageous.
- 6+ years managing performance marketing campaigns, with at least 3 years in senior/strategic roles, preferably in an agency.
- Proven experience managing six- to seven-figure monthly ad budgets with measurable ROI.
- Experience leading or mentoring teams, fostering collaboration.
- Expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, Shopify, attribution tools.
- Familiarity with CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), project management (ClickUp, Monday.com), and analytics platforms (Hotjar, Mixpanel).
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into strategies.
- Deep understanding of marketing funnels, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing.
- Experience developing omnichannel strategies, including paid search, display, video, and emerging formats.
- Knowledge of YouTube/Demand Gen campaigns is a strong advantage.
- Ability to conceptualize, test, and optimize creative elements and landing pages.
- Proficiency in A/B and multivariate testing frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in onboarding, training, and mentoring team members.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects efficiently.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
