Job summary

Kenyon College is seeking a Digital Stewardship Librarian to safeguard and enable access to digital collections. The role focuses on describing, preserving, and sharing materials across the college, with on-campus work and some remote flexibility.

You'll lead repository administration, develop preservation workflows, and advise on policy, while partnering with faculty on grants and courses. A degree in digital librarianship or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent completed by June 2027.
• Education or experience in digital collections, digitization, born-digital archives, or related work in libraries or archives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare digitized and born-digital materials for ingest, stabilization, and storage.
• Administer the repository platform (Digital Kenyon) and preservation tools.
• Advise on preservation systems, workflows, and lifecycle management.
• Grow tools and services to keep digital collections scalable and define asset requirements.
• Lead digital projects from plan to delivery and communicate goals and timelines.
• Teach and consult with faculty, students, and staff on digital tools.
• Explore new preservation platforms and migrate content between systems.
• Serve as liaison to academic programs and collaborate on grants and projects.
