Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support rapid-response research and development (R&D) in secure laboratory environments, focusing on SIGINT and RF collection challenges. The role involves developing prototype solutions to exploit digital signals from overhead SIGINT and RF sources, supporting mission-critical operations. The DSP Engineer will work in classified lab settings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement prototype solutions for digital signals from SIGINT and RF sources to support mission operations.
  • Design, optimize, and tailor DSP tools and techniques to support high-value targets and mission requirements.
  • Analyze and process digital signals, developing algorithms to enhance detection and exploitation.
  • Collaborate with lab teams, mission stakeholders, and analysts to define requirements and deliver capabilities.
  • Adapt DSP solutions to evolving mission needs across secure environments.
  • Test, validate, and optimize DSP prototypes for performance in classified settings.
  • Integrate DSP solutions with existing systems ensuring compatibility.
  • Document technical designs, methodologies, and performance results.
  • Stay current with advancements in DSP, SIGINT, and RF technologies.
  • Incorporate synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sources into DSP solutions for better target detection.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s with 6+ years related experience; additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • 5+ years in digital signal processing, focusing on SIGINT and RF systems.
  • Experience developing prototype solutions for digital signals from overhead SIGINT and RF sources.
  • Strong skills in signal processing algorithms and RF data formats.
  • Experience with rapid-response R&D in classified environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills in secure settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAR sources in DSP.
  • Background in defense, intelligence, or SIGINT/RF missions.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, GNU Radio.
  • Knowledge of SIGINT tools and data formats like NITF, STANAG.
  • Experience with high-performance computing in secure environments.
  • Understanding of security standards (NIST, RMF, IC/DoD).
  • Experience with Agile/DevOps in classified projects.
