Job summary

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited library school.
• MLIS degree with research emphasis (Math, Sciences, Data, GIS) preferred.
• Experience with data curation, GIS, and metadata is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of digital initiatives and research data management projects to support scholarly communication at UTRGV.
• Provide guidance to students, faculty, and staff in digital repositories, open data initiatives, digital exhibits, and scholarly impact tools.
• Educate and support tools for curation, description, indexing, and accessibility of digital scholarship.
• Perform outreach and instruction in using digital technologies to advance scholarship.
• Monitor and improve digital reformatting workflows, procedures, and best-practice design.
