Job summary

Teacher Tutors in Livingston, NJ is seeking experienced SAT tutors for the digital SAT. You will meet students in-home, online, or at our Livingston office and tailor plans based on diagnostic results.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with the digital SAT post-2024, a track record of score improvements, and flexibility to teach Math or Reading/Writing. Strong communication with teens and parents is essential, with after-school and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with the digital SAT (post-March 2024).
• Proven track record of student score improvement on the SAT.
• Strong knowledge in either Math or Reading & Writing; bilingual ability is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or higher; teaching certification is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation for in-home sessions and ability to travel within defined radius.
• Availability for after-school, evening, or weekend hours during school year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one SAT prep sessions for Reading/Writing and Math.
• Begin with a diagnostic and build a personalized study plan.
• Teach pacing, flagging, calculator use, and strategy for the second module.
• Assign and review practice sets; track score trajectory across tests.
• Communicate with parents about targets, time commitment, and progress.
• Submit a session note after each tutoring session.
• Coordinate test-date logistics with families.
