Job summary

The State of New Hampshire seeks a Data Librarian II to support the Division of Archives and Records Management in Concord. The role involves operating imaging systems, organizing and indexing digital and micrographic records, and ensuring proper retrieval and preservation of state records.

Responsibilities include QA on scanned materials, cataloging, updating databases, and assisting staff with access requests. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive state benefits.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of databases, electronic records management systems, digital repositories, imaging systems or related tech is helpful.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Operates imaging and micrographics equipment to convert and preserve records.
  • Indexes and maintains digital and micrographic records using standard procedures.
  • Updates databases/inventories to track converted records.
  • Performs quality checks on scanned and microfilmed records.
  • Assists staff in locating and retrieving records.
  • Maintains imaging equipment and reports issues as needed.
  • Supports migration and conversion of electronic records.
  • Prepares routine statistics and reports on imaging activities.
  • Provides basic user assistance for accessing digital records.
  • Follows records management and data preservation standards.
