Job summary

NHS 24 seeks an experienced psychological therapist to deliver digitally enabled, evidence-based therapies to adults with mild to moderate mental health or physical health difficulties. The role focuses on individual clinical work via telephone, with potential for video-enabled and group interventions, managing a personal caseload and maintaining clinical records.

Qualifications

• MSc in Applied Psychology or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with a range of mental health presentations, including mild to moderate.
• Ability to deliver psycho-educational materials to patients and staff.
• Experience delivering digital therapies and remote appointments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation of therapeutic interventions and track change over time.
• Maintain proficiency with psychological assessment tools and update clinical practice.
• Communicate formulation and understanding of disorders to referrers and colleagues.
• Develop formulations from assessment measures and self-motivating strategies for clients.
