Job summary

The State of Nebraska is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead the Digital Project Construction Unit, assisting with statewide Digital Project Delivery. This role involves engineering assignments and bridging gaps between design and construction execution.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a Professional Engineer license in Nebraska, and strong communication skills. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and one year of professional level engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Nebraska or ability to obtain it.
• Valid driver’s license; travel, including limited overnight travel, required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex professional engineering assignments to bridge data gap.
• Extract, cleanse and reconstruct raw 3-D design models.
• Serve as statewide technical expert for construction digital delivery technologies.
• Design, update, and deliver technical curricula and workshops.
• Train personnel on 3-D models and mobile inspection applications.
