Our commitment to every learner unites us. UnboundEd works side-by-side with teachers, coaches, principals, and district leaders to ensure every student has access to grade-level, engaging, affirming, and meaningful - GLEAM™ - instruction. By cultivating the mindsets, knowledge, and skills at the heart of truly transformative teaching and learning, we can break the predictability of historic achievement patterns so all kids thrive.

In 2023, UnboundEd joined forces with Pivot Learning and CORE Learning to expand our offerings and drive long-needed changes in instruction, especially in the highest-need schools.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Digital Products, the Digital Products Manager is a key member of UnboundEd’s Digital Products division, responsible for managing the lifecycle of digital platforms that support educators nationwide. This role focuses on the development, scaling, and continuous improvement of core products, including Onyx (an AI-enabled instructional design platform) and the Online Math Academy (OMA).

The Digital Products Manager will ensure all digital solutions align with UnboundEd’s mission to provide GLEAM™ instruction to historically marginalized students.

UnboundEd is a virtual organization, and this exempt position can be based anywhere in the United States. UnboundEd has core business hours, during which we expect all staff to be available from 9 am to 5 pm local time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Product Lifecycle & Strategy

  • Manage the product roadmap for UnboundEd's core digital products (including Onyx and OMA), balancing near-term feature updates with long-term infrastructure and scalability goals.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define product requirements and translate them into executable technical specifications.
  • Lead the transition and integration of products into the Canvas LMS environment, ensuring seamless data acquisition and system interoperability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with content, program design, and research teams to ensure digital tools reflect high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and evidence-based professional learning.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing representatives to support product rollout, user onboarding, and market positioning.
  • Act as a bridge between technical engineering teams and organizational leadership, providing clarity on progress, impact, and roadblocks.

User-Centric Design & Inclusion

  • Champion a user-centric approach by incorporating educator feedback and research into product iterations.
  • Ensure all digital products meet the highest standards of accessibility, security, and usability, specifically tailored for educators serving Multilingual Learners.
  • Utilize analytics and performance data to monitor KPIs and drive data-informed improvements to the user experience.

Agile Delivery

  • Implement and lead agile project management methodologies (e.g., SCRUM) to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Facilitate the creation and prioritization of product backlogs, managing the "leave-behind" practice-embedded learning artifacts for educators.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Development, Education, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in product management, EdTech, or related technology project management roles.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience driving complex projects in an agile/software development environment; CSPO or similar certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, LMS platforms (specifically Canvas), and data-sharing/CRM protocols (e.g., Salesforce, Qualtrics).
  • Proven ability to analyze varied problems and implement solutions using data, general precedents, and standard EdTech practices.

The strongest candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of adult learning design and research-based instructional practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge complex technical concepts and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to UnboundEd’s organizational values and mission.
  • A learning orientation and dedication to equity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of urban school environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while building strong cross-geography relationships.
  • A collaborative spirit and eagerness to contribute to a highly engaged team.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and collaboration tools such as Slack.
