Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Digital Production Assistant, Flash/Culture/Media to be part of a groundbreaking online news team. The role offers one of the following shifts:

• Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM ET - 2:00 PM ET
• Sunday-Thursday, 3:00 PM ET - 11:00 PM ET
• Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00 PM ET - 11:00 PM ET

Responsibilities

• Clip video segments from Fox News and FOX Business
• Help update and program our YouTube channels and produce and edit short-form videos
• Multitask on tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Work with editors and reporters on stories and projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Strong video editing skills
• Knowledge of Photoshop and video editing systems such as Adobe Premiere
• Experience updating and programming YouTube channels and social media platforms
• 1-2+ years of online news experience in writing or producing
• Strong knowledge and passion for news, media, and pop culture
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask multiple projects
• Excellent editorial judgment and current events knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work some holidays and adapt to shift changes
• Team player with a proactive attitude in breaking news situations
• Creative thinking and outside-the-box problem-solving skills

Pay rate/range: $21.00-25.00 per hour, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and others as per plan documents. Union employees' benefits are in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
