The Manager, Customer Data Platform (CDP) will serve as the product and platform owner for James Hardie's Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Real-Time CDP. This role is responsible for defining the platform strategy, architecture, governance, and roadmap that enables a unified customer profile across James Hardie's portfolio of brands.

Working cross-functionally with Digital Product, Marketing Automation, IT, Enterprise Data, Analytics, Web, and implementation partners, this role will lead the evolution of James Hardie's customer data foundation—connecting enterprise customer data, enabling audience activation and personalization, and establishing the governance and operating model required to scale digital experiences across the enterprise.

This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for balancing platform strategy with execution, ensuring Adobe Experience Platform becomes the enterprise foundation for customer identity, activation, and data-driven marketing.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as the Product Owner for Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Real-Time CDP.
  • Develop and maintain the platform vision, roadmap, architecture, and operating model aligned with James Hardie's digital, CRM, loyalty, personalization, and analytics strategies.
  • Prioritize platform capabilities, technical debt, integrations, governance initiatives, and business use cases based on enterprise value.
  • Evaluate new platform capabilities, data sources, destinations, and emerging technologies that enhance customer engagement and business outcomes.
  • Own the architecture and implementation strategy for enterprise customer data flowing into Adobe Experience Platform.
  • Partner with IT, Enterprise Data, CRM, and implementation partners to deliver scalable integrations across Salesforce CRM, enterprise data platforms, digital properties, marketing technologies, and additional first- and third-party data sources.
  • Define enterprise standards for schemas, datasets, data models, naming conventions, and reusable platform components supporting multi-brand scalability.
  • Ensure platform architecture supports future acquisitions, new customer channels, and evolving business capabilities.
  • Own the enterprise customer identity strategy across homeowners, contractors, installers, builders, dealers, distributors, and other customer audiences.
  • Define identity namespaces, match rules, merge policies, profile quality standards, and identity governance supporting a trusted enterprise customer profile.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data, CRM, and Digital teams to establish consistent customer identifiers and cross-brand identity relationships.
  • Define reusable audience segmentation standards and activation strategies across CRM, Marketing Automation, Digital Experience, Paid Media, Loyalty, and Analytics.
  • Partner with CRM, Marketing Automation, and Web teams to operationalize audience activation, personalization, lifecycle marketing, and cross-channel customer journeys.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value business use cases that demonstrate measurable platform value while supporting the long-term customer engagement strategy.
  • Lead platform governance in partnership with Enterprise Data, IT, Security, Privacy, and Legal teams.
  • Establish standards for customer data quality, lineage, retention, consent, access management, and platform health.
  • Own platform documentation, architectural standards, operating procedures, and governance processes that ensure long-term platform sustainability.
  • Monitor platform adoption, performance, and data quality while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead Adobe Experience Platform workstreams delivered by implementation partners and agencies.
  • Establish technical direction, priorities, solution reviews, and delivery expectations while ensuring alignment with James Hardie's enterprise architecture.
  • Maintain internal ownership of platform architecture and customer identity decisions while leveraging implementation partners for execution where appropriate.
  • Drive knowledge transfer and capability development that progressively reduces long-term dependency on external partners.
  • Partner with Digital Product, CRM, Marketing Automation, Analytics, Enterprise Data, IT, Web, Loyalty, eCommerce, and Brand Marketing teams to align priorities and sequencing.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions that translate business objectives into scalable customer data capabilities.
  • Educate stakeholders on Adobe Experience Platform capabilities, governance, and best practices.
  • Communicate platform roadmap, delivery progress, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Marketing Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing or managing Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Real-Time CDP, or comparable enterprise Customer Data Platforms.
  • Experience integrating enterprise customer data platforms with Salesforce CRM, enterprise data warehouses, APIs, and modern integration technologies.
  • Strong understanding of customer identity resolution, profile unification, data modeling, audience segmentation, and marketing activation strategies.
  • Experience owning product roadmaps or enterprise technology platforms while translating business objectives into technical delivery plans.
  • Experience partnering with Enterprise Data, IT, CRM, Analytics, and Digital Product organizations within a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience managing implementation partners, consulting organizations, or systems integrators while maintaining internal platform ownership.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for executive audiences.
  • Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Marketo Engage, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, or other Adobe Experience Cloud applications.
  • Experience supporting multi-brand organizations, acquisitions, or enterprise customer identity initiatives.
  • Experience with B2B2C customer models, loyalty programs, contractor ecosystems, or account-to-person relationship models.
  • Experience within building products, manufacturing, home improvement, or related industries.
  • Experience establishing Customer Data Platform governance, operating models, or Centers of Excellence.
