With a $902 million operating budget and a workforce of approximately 2,600 staff, we deliver essential services including health and human services, housing, environmental protection, public safety, emergency response, and digital innovation.
We are widely recognized for leadership in sustainability, equity, and digital transformation. Marin County is currently undergoing the most significant organizational restructuring in 70 years—shifting to a centralized County Executive model under the unified “One Marin” vision.
Our aspiration: to become the #1 customer and employee experience county in California. We will realize this through the digital products we provide constituents, the productivity tools we provide our workforce, and the way we engage with our users.
The Digital Product Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing Marin County’s digital transformation with a focus on high-impact enterprise platforms. This position will manage some of the County’s most critical software solutions that empower the people and processes that make local government work.
This role requires cross-department collaboration, customer-centric solutioning, process optimization, and alignment with Board of Supervisors’ priorities. If you are a platform product manager with strong process improvement instincts excited to work on the systems that power our democratic processes and civil servants, this is a great role for you.
This is a 3-year fixed-term, fully benefits eligible position. Fixed-term positions are exempt from the County’s policies regarding lay-off order and reduction-in-force rights.
After an initial training and orientation period, there may be an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and up to 2 days remote.
Depending on assignment, Digital Product Managers may own one or more high-impact enterprise platforms. Our current priority is the County's Agenda Management System (OneMeeting) platform, with opportunities to expand into additional enterprise systems as the County's Product Management practice grows.
Future product assignments may include other enterprise platforms supporting County operations, such as workflow, collaboration, forms, communications, digital payment, and other business systems, based on organizational priorities.
