Job summary

Encore in Maryland is seeking a Digital Print Operator I to produce and finish printed graphics on substrates using high-end equipment. You will load substrates, run digital files, and ensure quality and on-time delivery.

You will collaborate with graphic detailers and the production manager, maintain equipment, and assist with on-site installations if needed. A high school diploma and 1–3 years in print or graphic production, plus Windows and Adobe CS familiarity, are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in print shop production or graphic related position.
• Experience with Windows-based computer operating systems.
• Any Adobe Creative Suite programs is a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple departments.
• Good communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Print on substrates using various printing equipment with digital files prepared by others.
• Load and offload substrate from printing equipment.
• Inspect printed materials for accuracy and quality control.
• Provide finishing to printed substrates including cutting, hems, grommets, sewing, edging and assembly.
• Apply printed graphics to fabricated items as needed.
• Package and prepare completed graphics to be sent to show site.
• Work with graphic detailers and department manager to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Substrate inventory is recorded and maintained.
• Perform basic daily maintenance on all equipment.
• Provide on-site installation services if required.
